Tyler 8th Grade Graduation

The day has come... Tyler is going to be in high school next year! We just celebrated his 8th grade graduation on Tuesday! Where did elementary and middle school go? It went by so fast! I remember his first day of kindergarten... now he is receiving his certificate from 8th grade! This has been a very long journey for us, for him. It has not always been easy. When I look back it was so hard in the beginning trying to figure everything out with his diagnosis setting up OT and speech.. I don't know how we juggled all of that while I was working FT. He has had a wonderful experience at his middle school and we are so grateful to his teacher! We could not have asked for a better special ed teacher the last four years. Part of me feels the same anticipation now that he is going into high school. It's a new chapter for him, it's so exciting but scary at the same time. I know that all parents go through this. But for us it's a little different experience. This year has been hard and a lot of times I'm not sure it's going to get easier. The one thing thing that I do know is that Tyler is so excited for high school, meeting new friends and his new teachers! We are so proud of him and all that he has accomplished! We had a great time at his graduation, we were served lunch in his classroom, attended the ceremony and ended our evening at one Tyler's favorite restaurant Big Bowl!
